Arnold Schwarzenegger to play ‘The Terminator 5’ again: "I'll be back"

It has emerged that Arnold Schwarzenegger will return to his iconic role as ‘The Terminator’ in a new film.

The Hollywood star and former politician plans to make a comeback to the big screen by starring in a sequel to the four-part action movie.

After nearly 30 years since the original James Cameron flick, the former California governor has promised his fans that he would return with as much violent action as ever.

"I can step very comfortably into the entertainment world and do an action movie with the same violence that I've always done," , the Courier Mail quoted him as telling the LA Times.

The film, at this stage being referred to as Terminator 5, is in a very early pre-production stage but is apparently to be directed by Fast 5 director, Justin Lin.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's next role may be president of the EU

Arnold Schwarzenegger, who made a seamless transition from Hollywood film stardom to California governor, could have his sights set on a new job as next head of the European Union, U.S. media reported.

The Austrian-born former body builder, 63, at loose ends as he tries to figure out what his next act should be, reportedly is being advised by aides to return to his native Europe to run for the EU presidency, Newsweek reported.

“In the next few years, the EU will be looking for a much more high-profile president — somebody who can unify Europe,” Schwarzenegger's chief of staff Terry Tamminen told the magazine.

Arnold Schwarzenegger announces 'The Governator' cartoon

He's Back!!! Arnold Schwarzenegger's first big project since leaving office has been revealed, and as rumored, will feature the actor/politician as a larger-than-life superhero.

The 63-year-old has announced in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly that he’s teaming up with legendary comic book genius Stan Lee to bring the animated series, titled “The Governator” to life.

“When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about ‘The Governator’, I thought the word was so cool,” he told EW. “The word Governator combined two worlds – the world of politics and the movie world. And the cartoon brings everything together. It combines the governor, the ‘Terminator’, the bodybuilding world, the ‘True Lies’ world.”

Said Stan: ”Only after he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting centre under his house in Brentwood.”

Along with a teenage team that assists "The Governator" in fighting various injustices, Schwarzenegger's alter ego will also have a suit that allows him to breathe underwater and turn invisible. Oh yea - and a fleet of "eco-friendly cars"; which is different from the actual reality of the former Governor's garage.

According to sources, Lee is working overtime to deliver a "Governator" prototype in time for the Comic Con convention in July. The current schedule has the series and a comic book launching by the end of 2012.

Schwarzenegger will officially unveil his plans for "The Governator" during the annual MIPTV international festival in Cannes, France next week on April 4.
