The Gallery - Hair

In October 2009 I did this post - which pretty much cover's my many hair 'do's'. So instead, with his permission of course, I thought I would share a picture of my lovely husband. This is a picture of him when I first knew him.

Note: He did not enter into natural sunlight at this point due to his blueish skin... The rest of us were enjoying the sun that day.

However, this picture truly demonstrates his mane of hair. (all natural)

In fairness to him. This was me when he first met me.

The hair is just a dangley mess. (It was all natural) And yes, my jumper was inside out.

And there was of course the '80's perm which give's hubs a run for his money.

And that is definitely enough sharing of hair raising stories (groan).

The Gallery - Love

When I got married I was fit to bursting with love - I genuinely thought that we could not be more in love.

But then nearly ten years on, our love has matured, and as life throws big splats and happy puddles at us it grows and we continue to be very much still in love.

None the less, I was not prepared for the love I feel for my children, strange, unconditional, totally overwhelming. My heart skips a beat for them regularly.

Here are two of my favourite pictures - the first one with my husband and my eldest daughter in Ireland on Christmas Day. The snow was unexpected so my husband had to borrow a hat from his Dad. It snowed all morning and was a completely magical Christmas. She is two in this picture.

And this is me with my baby girl when she was about one.

And finally because it's Christmas here is a couple of my favourite Christmas pictures of my girls.

Love certainly makes the world go round. If you want to see more posts like this go and see more at Tara's Gallery  and share the Love

The Gallery - The Men in my Life

I like men. I am happily married, have a great Dad and have some fantastic male friends, so when Tara at Sticky fingers suggested Men for the Gallery I was really pleased. Here are a few of my favourite chaps.

I am very lucky.

Bikey or Pikey?

OK, firstly I would like to apologise for the non-PC-ness of the title of this blog, you can blame the husbands friends for this and for the texts relating to the picture below (not of Stewart Granger).
My husband has always had a goatee of some description in the 17 years I have known him.
Lately his goatee has taken on a badgerish quality having two white sides where his beard hair has gone grey. I quite like that it gives him a Stewart Granger  type feel - ...""£$%^& Sorry just taking a moment to focus.(ahem!)

He is now growing the goatee and has decided to put little ponytails in it. Sorry not ponytails, little girls have ponytails, men have manly beard tails(?). Tied up with bands made from camo-galvinised rubber - please see previous post re: Manly beauty products!
And I absolutely did not buy the bands from Claire's Accessories (I did), as that is where the little girls with pony tails go to shop.
Anyway what do you think..Bikey or Pikey?
