Hart of Dixie's Rachel Bilson spotted the ensemble with a pair of edgy suede ankle boots, and topping the look off with a big bag in a bold blue.
On the other hand, Emma Roberts wore the look with a pair of gold summer sandals and pulled the outfit together with her trusty red suede Proenza Schouler bag.

Fashion Faceoff: Tibi Spring 2011 Dress
Straight out from winning her battle against bronchial pneumonia, country sensation Taylor Swift was all around New York City busying herself with non-stop promotional duties. The singer was seen in a blue Tibi dress from the label's Spring 2011 RTW collection.
The frock was accessorized with a thin gold belt and matched with a pair of grey bowed-pumps.
*credits: Just Jared
The dress has also been spotted earlier on Blake Lively, also in the exact colour! The Green Lantern actress however chose to clash her blue laced dress with a pair of leopard print sky-highs.
Who do you think wore the look better? While Blake Lively seemed to have filled the dress out better, I actually prefer Taylor Swift's belted look and up-do. But in terms of footwear, I didn't like what Taylor Swift had on. What's your stand?

Yvonne Lim's dress at Star Awards 2011?
Turns out it was indeed Miu Miu.
I remember so vividly that I saw something similar before, and I finally located the source of my memory of it. Chloe Moretz (Kick-ass) wore a different style of the same starry designs to the Comedy Awards. The young star, who has risen to the fashion scene and was invited to the label's store launch in London last December (where she rubbed shoulders with Jessica Alba and Emma Roberts), paired her cap-sleeve frock with a pair of Miu Miu heels.

Who, in your opinion, wore the starry dress better? Yvonne Lim has my vote.

Fashion Faceoff: Nautical Stripes + Cropped Jeans
Just yesterday, Project Runway host and Victoria's Secrets alum angel was spotted out in LA with her children wearing this awesome outfit.
*credits: Just Jared.buzznet
I'm loving the cropped jeggings and how the blazer polished up the entire look. Not forgetting the marvelous yellow bag giving the whole chic look a pop of colour.
But it reminded me too much of a Kate Moss look way back, probably in 2009.....?
The resemblance is uncanny - the black scarf, striped top, jeggings, flats and the top handle bag. Hmmmm. 'Cept that Kate Moss used her classic tweed jacket to add that dash of colour.

Fashion Faceoff: Free People dress
Sometime last year, Ashley Tisdale went about town running errands in a cute empire cut dress by Free People.

And over the weekend, Kelsey Chow wore the same dress to a movie premiere.
*credits: Just Jared.buzznet
Well, I definitely preferred how Ashley Tisdale filled out the dress, Kelsey looked a little too skinny for it. Also, Ashley did it right, wearing her slingback Louboutins with the girly dress. Kelsey opted for laced booties which was a cute choice but it didn't quite complete the look well. What do you think?

Fashion Faceoff: Battle of the Blues
Early this week, Elle Style Awards took place in London and Blake Lively, who walked the red carpet in a bright blue dress by Emilio Pucci, snapped up the award for Best TV Star. The tall beauty rocked the look in a pair of purple Christian Louboutin peep-toes, and I'm loving the colour clash here. Worth a try this spring!
And over at the British Acedemy Film Awards (BAFTAs), Jessica Alba was stunning in a blue Atelier Versace strapless gown. The look was completed with a matching necklace and jade diamond-encrusted ring. Her hair was pulled back with plaids strapped across. She looked gorgeous, doesn't she?
Just yesterday, Emma Roberts (catch her in the upcoming Scream 4!) attended the Michael Kors Fall 2011 runway show in Lincoln Center in New York. The actress posed before the photographs in her blue single-shoulder pleat dress, wearing black tights underneath to fight the NYC cold.
So whose 'blue-look' did you like most?

Fashion Faceoff - Gucci Spring 2011 Looks.
Gucci's spring looks on the runway has been nothing short of fabulous. The label's shocking hues and colour-blocking outfits have been a great hit among celebrities.
Last month, Olivia Wilde of Tron: Legacy took to a Gucci party in a jumpsuit that features a plunging neckline and a contrasting blue sash across the bodice, creating the perfect colour-block against the jade green top and black pant. The actress brilliantly matched the outfit with a purple satin clutch and a gold statement necklace. I love how the different colours come together forming a perfect palette and how she kept her shoes low-key (in black), as opposed to the runway model's look with the heels matching the blue sash. The bangs look great on the pretty star too.
Sometime last week, American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez turned up at a UNICEF luncheon in Gucci. The singer and mother of two adopted the entire runway look, but traded the strappy heels for a black pair. I really like the sleek look on J.Lo, it's revealing but in a classy manner and absolutely fitting for a diva like her at a formal occasion.

Then there was Camilla Belle at a pre-Grammy party (Grammy's is on tomorrow!). The 10,000B.C. actress did a marvelous job colour-blocking in a full-Gucci outfit, complete with the strappy heels. I'm in love with the colour splashes and how these contrasting colours actually make a perfect match with each other. Frida Giannini (designer of these runway pieces) is a pure genius. Camilla's volumed-hair looks gorgeous too.
If you wish to achieve this colour-blocking look, keep the rest of your outfit (accessories, hair, etc.) simple. The contrasting colours look dramatic enough so don't go overboard with the hairstyle and accessories with too much details.
So whose Gucci spring look was your favourite?

Fashion Faceoff: Head-to-Toe Denim.
It always takes some skill to wear a trend from head to toe (if it should even work out). There's a fine line between looking stylish and looking trashy. When it comes to denim, this would probably be what trashy looks like:
Back in the 90's when Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears were still dating, the couple experimented with the look at a red carpet event. Okay, maybe trashy isn't the word. Probably distasteful. But when it comes to fashion, I guess it's better to try and learn from your mistakes than to never have tried at all (Mister Timberlake sure did - just check out his success with his label William Rast).
Fashion kinda works like the economy, where "everything old is new again" is to the recession-boom cycle. A few labels have brought back the light-wash denim last year, as well as the head-to-toe denim look.
Celebrities of Hollywood have also adopted the look in their daily casual wear. Reese Witherspoon takes on the trend with denim separates in different shades of washes, pulling the look together with a cute fedora and matching Alexander Wang Coco duffel and strappy sandals.
Ellen Pompeo of Grey's Anatomy took a leap forward with a denim jumpsuit and accessorized with a ChloƩ handbag.
Who wore the trend better? Or do you not like the trend at all? Have your say.

Fashion Faceoff: Knitted Cropped Top.
Attending BFF Vanessa Hudgens' birthday party sometime ago was Ashley Tisdale in this knitted striped top. The Hellcats actress paired it with a high-waist skirt and thigh-high Louboutins.
Who do you think wore this piece better?

Modern Family's Sarah Hyland wore the same cropped top to a movie premiere, matching it with a pair of dark-coloured jeans and black studded pumps. Who do you think wore this piece better?

Fashion Faceoff - Solid Maxi Dress
Channeling the minimalist on your days off isn't easy, but that style was never restricted to formal wear. Like these celebrities, they achieved the look easily with the help of a simple maxi dress in a plain colour. Accessorizing is unnecessary - that goes without saying.
Lauren Conrad of The Hills looked like such a Californian girl in her brunette-blonde locks wearing a light grey maxi dress with flip-flops, completing her look with a white bag and Ray-Ban aviators.
Gulliver's Travels actress Emily Blunt wore her version of the maxi dress in military-green with grey sock sandals and a sling bag in a matching colour.
The differences in the two tinseltown ladies' dress also lie in the fit as LC's version has a looser fit and flowy skirt while Blunt's frock has a straighter cut, thus explaining the limitations in her strides, resulting in the stretch of the skirt.
Take your stand - who wore the look better?
