Fashion Faceoff - Gucci Spring 2011 Looks.

Gucci's spring looks on the runway has been nothing short of fabulous. The label's shocking hues and colour-blocking outfits have been a great hit among celebrities.

Last month, Olivia Wilde of Tron: Legacy took to a Gucci party in a jumpsuit that features a plunging neckline and a contrasting blue sash across the bodice, creating the perfect colour-block against the jade green top and black pant. The actress brilliantly matched the outfit with a purple satin clutch and a gold statement necklace. I love how the different colours come together forming a perfect palette and how she kept her shoes low-key (in black), as opposed to the runway model's look with the heels matching the blue sash. The bangs look great on the pretty star too.

Sometime last week, American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez turned up at a UNICEF luncheon in Gucci. The singer and mother of two adopted the entire runway look, but traded the strappy heels for a black pair. I really like the sleek look on J.Lo, it's revealing but in a classy manner and absolutely fitting for a diva like her at a formal occasion.

Then there was Camilla Belle at a pre-Grammy party (Grammy's is on tomorrow!). The 10,000B.C. actress did a marvelous job colour-blocking in a full-Gucci outfit, complete with the strappy heels. I'm in love with the colour splashes and how these contrasting colours actually make a perfect match with each other. Frida Giannini (designer of these runway pieces) is a pure genius. Camilla's volumed-hair looks gorgeous too.

If you wish to achieve this colour-blocking look, keep the rest of your outfit (accessories, hair, etc.) simple. The contrasting colours look dramatic enough so don't go overboard with the hairstyle and accessories with too much details.

So whose Gucci spring look was your favourite?
