Burberry Prorsum: Spring and Fall 2010.

Spring trends off the runway has promised us tons of bright colours and platforms, as well as a different take on lace and florals from the previous season.

Burberry's Chief Creative Director Christopher Bailey continues raking in the dollars for the label with his marvelous designs that adds a trendy twist to the classic staples. Take for example, the classic Burberry trench coat now comes with studs, lace and even shorter versions. This is the perfect illustration where limitations spark creativity.

The British label's spring RTW collection was lined up with bright accessories and clothing, animal prints - the snake and leopard, in particular, studs and metallics.

Colour clashes were cleverly done, through mixing a bit of turquoise with lime-green.
Animal print was prevalent on tops, dresses, jackets and trench coats, but the bright colours give the prints a refreshing makeover.
Studs are embellished on the trench coats, giving them an edgy touch. As are metallics against leather booties and motorcycle jackets.
The Fall collection was presented in England yesterday, and upcoming movie BFF & Baby co-stars Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth were among the front-row VIPs.

Rachel Bilson was in a keyhole knee-length dress and kept warm from the cold England winds in a bubble trench coat. She toted a bright orange giant clutch to add colour to her outfit. I didn't really like her look. It was too dull and too overwhelming for her petite frame.
Rachel left LA with a similar jacket in blue from Burberry's Pre-Fall collection and she looked way cuter in this ensemble particularly with the red beanie. The blue lifts the otherwise heavy-looking bubble trench.
I did like what Kate Bosworth wore on the other hand. We seldom see Kate in dull colours from head-to-toe and that's what I like about her. She opted for the nude colour cropped jacket and a gold-studded skirt. Love those boots that are so in tune with Kate's bohemian style.
Bright colours were still pretty big for the show, drawing itself away from the other labels who are doing mostly grey, black and white for the season. But oversized is definitely the way to go for fall this year. And of course, platforms are still hot. Oooh, and the orange top-handle bag looks so yummy!
Christopher Bailey also featured the toggle buttons (my favourite on coats) on jackets and sweater tops. Very cute and interesting.
Fur coats are still trendy, but Burberry ones include some pocket and belt accents.
Coloured checks never looked so good! I'm so in love with the black and white plaid trench (below, extreme right)!

With this collection, it looks like a fine line between spring and fall collections, making all the items so wearable all the time. Impressive.
